3 Days Return Policy – Hassle-Free Returns for Your Peace of Mind
At OCTAVE, we understand that sometimes things don’t work out as planned. That’s why we offer a hassle-free 3-day return policy on all eligible products. We want you to shop with confidence, knowing that if you’re not completely satisfied with your purchase, you have the option to return it within 3 days of delivery.
Our return policy is designed to make the process as simple and convenient as possible. We believe in providing exceptional customer service, and that includes making returns easy for our valued customers. Whether you’ve changed your mind, received a damaged or defective item, or simply aren’t satisfied with your purchase, we’re here to help.
Cancellation Policy
If you wish to cancel an order, please do so within 24 hours of placing the order. You can cancel your order by contacting our customer support team via email or phone. Please provide your order details, including the order number, to facilitate a smooth cancellation process. Once your cancellation request is received and processed, we will initiate the refund process.
Refund Policy
We strive to ensure that you are satisfied with your purchase. If you are not completely satisfied with your order, we offer a hassle-free refund policy.
Refunds will be processed based on the original payment method used for the purchase. Please note that it may take 5-7 business days for the refund to reflect in your account, depending on your bank or credit card provider.
Here are the conditions for requesting a refund:
- Defective or Damaged Products: If the product you received is defective or damaged, please contact our customer support team within 48 hours of receiving the order. We may request supporting evidence, such as photographs, to assess the issue. Once verified, we will initiate the refund or offer a replacement, whichever you prefer.
- Incorrect or Incomplete Order: If you receive an incorrect or incomplete order, please contact our customer support team within 48 hours of receiving the order. We will investigate the issue and arrange for the correct items to be shipped to you or issue a refund, as per your preference.
- Change of Mind: If you change your mind about your purchase, you can request a refund within 3 days of receiving the order. The product must be in its original condition, unused, and in its original packaging. Please note that return shipping costs will be at your expense, and a restocking fee may apply.
Eligibility and Conditions
To be eligible for a return, please ensure that the item meets the following conditions:
- The return request must be initiated within 3 days of delivery.
- The item must be in its original condition, unused, and in the same packaging as when it was received.
- All original tags, labels, and accessories must be intact and included.
- Items that are non-returnable or non-refundable will be clearly marked on the product page.
Please note that certain products are exempt from our return policy due to hygiene reasons, such as all WIND INSTRUMENTS items. Additionally, customized or personalized items may not be eligible for return unless they are defective or damaged.
- We do not accept returns for the following items:
- All wind instruments such as Harmonicas, Flutes, Saxophones, etc; all Microphones and all Headphones/ Earphones such as In-ear monitors, True Wireless Earphones, and Headphones – due to hygiene /Covid-19 risks from potential exposure to the mouth/ear area (unless there is a case of product malfunction/product defect) .
- Opened software products.
- All products with manufacturer seal. Once the seal is opened it cannot be assigned to another user, and hence OCTAVE cannot accept the return unless there is a case of product malfunction.
- Audio Interfaces, Midi Keyboards or any other product that entails registration in order to be used. As retailers, there is no way for us to find out whether the product is registered or not, hence OCTAVE cannot accept the return.
- Gift Cards and Gift Vouchers
- Acoustic Drum Kits and Drum heads cannot be accepted under returns unless there is a case of product malfunction / product defect.
- Products damaged due to the use of an inappropriate power supply or products that were damaged due to voltage stability issues will not be accepted as returns. Across India, and even in the four core metro areas, a high-quality voltage stabiliser and spike protector are necessary to protect all electronic gear.
- Products that show willful damage will not be accepted as returns.
Note* – In case OCTAVE is unable to pick-up your shipment due to certain unforeseen circumstance, you may have to ship the products to our facility. The logistic charges involved in these cases would be refunded back to you after the product reaches us.
Initiating a Return
To initiate a return, simply follow these steps:
- Contact our customer support team within 3 days of receiving your order, either by phone or email.
- Provide your order details, including the item(s) you wish to return and the reason for the return.
- Our customer support team will guide you through the return process and provide you with a return authorization number, if applicable.
- Package the item securely, including all original packaging, tags, and accessories.
- Ship the item back to us using a traceable shipping method. Please note that the cost of return shipping will be the responsibility of the customer, unless the return is due to our error.
Once we receive your returned item, our quality control team will inspect it to ensure that it meets the eligibility criteria. If everything checks out, we will process your refund or exchange within [X] business days. Refunds will be issued in the original form of payment, while exchanges will be subject to product availability.
Exceptions and Exclusions
While we strive to provide a seamless return experience for our customers, there are certain exceptions and exclusions to our 3-day return policy. These include:
- Items that have been used, damaged, or altered by the customer.
- Products with missing or tampered packaging, tags, or accessories.
- Items that have been customized or personalized.
- Gift cards, downloadable software, and digital products.
